Q. At what temperature should the adhesive or sealant be stored?
A. Latex and water-based adhesives must be stored at temperatures above 40 degrees Fahrenheit and kept from freezing. Solvent-based adhesives will not freeze and can be stored at lower temperatures. To ensure a long shelf life it is best to store all products at room temperature.

A. Yes, all PL adhesives & sealants will accept paint.

Q. How do I remove dried adhesive or sealant?
A. It is best to clean up excessive adhesive or sealant while it is in the uncured state however, thin films of cured adhesive can be removed using solvent or mineral spirits. Heavier films must be physically removed with a putty knife.

Q. How long before the product is dried?
A. Once the adhesive or sealant has dried overnight, the substrate is ready for use. Although actual drying time will vary depending on temperature, humidity, and the materials being used, most adhesives and sealants will reach full strength after about 7 days.

Q. What is the "working time" of the adhesive?
A. "Working time" or "open time" is the amount of time that you have between applying the adhesive and joining the substrate. On average most products have an open time of about 15-20 minutes. Refer to individual labels for more information.

Q. What is the shelf life of these products?
A. PL adhesives & sealants have a guaranteed 1-year shelf life from the date of manufacture on unopened containers. Most products however, will last longer if stored in cool dry conditions. Opened containers will not last as long. It is recommended to seal opened containers with plastic wrap and tape to extend their shelf life. The shelf life of opened containers cannot be guaranteed.
